Gentle Pilates and Balance for a Healthy Spine

A great way to stay active for longer

Some traditional Pilates routines or gym programs can be detrimental to those with delicate bones and back weakness. Because of the high demand for exercise classes that suit the needs of those looking for a bone-healthy way to keep flexible, strong, and more balanced, we designed a program that works in small groups and caters to this population of active clients who need to be careful with the load and type of exercise that they do.
Our new Gentle Pilates program of exercise is designed for those with spinal injuries and pathology (disc degeneration, slipped discs, osteoporosis, scoliosis, and stenosis, among others) and those with weaknesses that not only make regular classes unsuitable, but also perhaps for whom private sessions are not an option. The Gentle Pilates classes are for 4 people max and are designed like a small group personal training session where everyone will work at their own pace with exercises specific to their needs.
The classes will use functional Pilates mat exercises and our specialized Pilates equipment to provide support and stability for the spine and joints.

We require you to do three Professional Full Body MOT Sessions to help us assess your needs, posture, and movement, design an initial individualized program for you, and guide you through the exercises on the machines and equipment we use in class.
